What is Captain Seas?

You start with one ship and a crew that barely knows the ropes. Everything after that is yours to take: gold from the hulls you sink, blueprints from the islands you explore, and a place on the map your guild can defend.

It runs in your browser and on mobile, in a persistent world shared with everyone else on your server. No purchase to start, no purchase to compete.

Six ways to play

Pick a route through the game. Most captains end up doing all of it.

Upgrade your ship

Hull, deck, masts and crew each pull in a different direction. Armour or speed, broadside or boarding party — the build is the strategy.

Hunt NPC fleets

Patrols, convoys and the occasional man-of-war. Every wreck pays out in gold and experience.

Run expeditions

Send crews out to chart islands and haul back rare materials. They come back richer, or they do not come back.

Craft and trade

Turn what you salvage into gear worth having, then sell it to the players who would rather buy than sail.

Join a guild

Split the work, share the spoils, and sail with people who answer when the horn goes up.

Take an island

Guild islands are captured, fortified and defended. Holding one is a standing invitation to be attacked.
